After we survived a nasty stomach bug over what was supposed to be our spring break, we decided to treat ourselves to a weekend of camping in our pop-up camper with the boys for the first time. We took Noah a few times when he was younger, but this was our first time to take the whole family as we now know it. All five of us (Daddy, Mommy, Noah, David, and of course, Sadie) piled into the car and away we went! We had fun hiking, checking out the dam, playing in the dirt, making a camp fire, and taking naps in the fresh spring air. We even managed to weather through a terrible wind and thunderstorm overnight. Amazingly, the boys slept through it all, while I lay there, fearfully, doubting whether the camper could withstand the wind. Somehow, we made it! And I also learned that Noah can sleep through anything.....so there is no need for me to worry about David waking him up at night anymore!
We look forward to many more opportunities to camp this spring and summer!
