Noah's ABC's!!!

It is official! As of today, Noah can say ALL of his ABC's!! Unfortunately, I didn't have the volume turned up loud enough during the recording for you to completely hear him, so definitely turn up the volume on your computer to view! I promise he says every letter! We probably spent 30 minutes in the swing this morning, while Noah sang his ABC's over and over and over again. I am so proud of him and I think he was too :)

New Visitor

We apparently have a new visitor that has taken residence in our front flower bed. Sadly, Noah experienced his mother displaying full out fear this afternoon. All I could see was his head, peering out from under a rock, and I swooped the boys up, ran inside, and quickly called my neighbors to help me 1) identify what it was I just saw and 2) kill it if it was harmful. I am ashamed to say, that our new visitor only turned out to be a skink. For someone who loves the outdoors, I have apparently never seen a skink before and would prefer for it to stay that way. I will stick to the lizards I grew up with in Florida. This thing was huge!! The pictures don't do its size any justice. For those of you who know and love skinks, kudos to you. I will stick to viewing them from a distance!

Happy 6 months!

Happy 6 month birthday to our littlest boy!!

At 6 months of age, David is as sweet as can be. He still doesn't have any teeth, but has enjoyed eating rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, peas, pears, apples, prunes, peaches, avocado, and bananas. There is nothing this boy doesn't like! He has still only rolled over a handful of times, but he loves to sit up (propped against pillows)and scoot like an inchworm on his belly (if you put resistant against his feet). He also loves to play in his exersaucer and most importantly, watch whatever his big brother is doing. He is still nursing, but is easily distracted by everything going on around him and will forget that he is supposed to be eating. He is content to play by himself, but would rather be in our arms from 4 pm to bedtime (around 8ish). He likes to read books with mommy in the morning, when everyone else is still sleeping, but also at night in Noah's bed before bedtime. I can often find this guy staring at me any time, day or night, and as soon as I look up at him, he moves into a huge grin! We have already forgotten our lives without David in it and couldn't imagine anything better!

Learning a thing or two

Hanging out in Noah's room, while being surrounded by Noah's stuffed animal collection...

Watching and listening intently to big brother, Noah...

Receiving instruction in how to play with an "old, but new" toy...

Trying it out by himself...

Ears

Would you believe me if I told you David had ear infections in both of his ears???

Don't let this gleeful moment fool you.....

Pickles

Noah has been super cranky over the past few days and has been complaining about his mouth hurting on both upper jaw lines. We think he might be starting to get his 2 year molars, but he won't actually let me look or feel inside. In desperation for a few peaceful moments, I decided to drag the boys to the store and buy popsicles for him. I know, I am a terrible mother because my son did not even know what a popsicle was because he has never had one :( Nevertheless, he enjoyed his popsicle so much that he asked, "more pickles pease!"
